What is Sell HW?
Sell HW is a peer-to-peer marketplace built by collectors, for collectors. Our platform makes it easy and safe for you to buy, sell, and discover rare and collectible Hot Wheels cars, from the latest mainline releases to vintage Redlines.
How do I start buying or selling?
It's simple! Just click the "Sign Up" button to create a free account. Once your account is set up, you can immediately start Browse listings or create your first listing to sell a car from your collection.
What are the fees for using Sell HW?
For sellers, listing your items is free. We only take a small commission fee (15% or a minimum of $1) from the final sale price once your item sells. This helps us run the platform and provide support. For buyers, there is a fixed fee of 25¢ per transaction to help pay processing fees associated with your order. Sell HW is aiming to lower these fees as the platform expands.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is handled directly by the seller. Each seller sets their own shipping costs and should give you a tracking number. Most of our sellers are collectors themselves and know how to pack cars securely in a box with protection to prevent damage. Always check the shipping cost before completing your purchase.
How and when do I get paid?
When a buyer purchases your item, their payment is held securely by us. After the buyer receives the item and confirms everything is okay (or after a short confirmation period passes), the funds are released to your account. You can then withdraw your earnings directly to your bank. Our payments are handled securely using Stripe.
What happens if I buy an item and it's not as described?
Your satisfaction is our priority. Keep in mind that the items sold on Sell HW are non-returnable and non-refundable. The condition of the items listed and sold on Sell HW is considered "as-is". If your item arrives and is significantly different from the listing's description, please contact the seller first to try and resolve the issue. If you can't reach a solution, you can open a dispute within [e.g., 3 days] of delivery. Our support team will step in to mediate and ensure a fair outcome, which is covered by our Buyer HW guarantee.
